What is a dupe

Ok so let me break it down for you, if you are new to the make-up world and are on a budget (like me) you do not want to go to a make-up counter and shell out an astronomical amount of money for one brush, one eyeshadow, one lipgloss, so a dupe is a lower cost alternative to it's high end counterpart (ie maybelline to MAC) it makes no sense unless of course you are a millionaire and I don't think there are too many of those left out there in this world.  I am talking to the everyday person.  There are great alternatives out there, you just have to do a little research on what your looking for.  I have made it a little easier for the ones who manages to find my blog, I have a list of some great drugstore brands that are almost 100% duplicates to it's high end counterparts. Most dupes out there are of the same quality it just doesn't break the bank.  One MAC eyeshadow will set you back $14.50 in it's pretty packaging and $11.00 if you just get the refill, you go for one look with MAC and it's 70 bucks, go to the drugstore, Wal-mart, or Target look for the same colors and it's 20 bucks, which is much more affordable.  I am not against high end make-up I just choose to find drugstore alternatives.  I am currently working on a dupe list for MAC brushes and should have it up in a few days.  Thanks for reading
